Unrefined Shea butter for sun burn treatment - Preparing for summer

With the recent records of rain in the UK, we all hope it will soon be over and we can look forward to enjoying the warm summer days, where we can soak in the sun, swim at the beach or pool, have a picnic at the park with our family or perhaps a summer barbecue in the garden with our friends and family.  But summer heat can cause exposed skin to become dry and sunburned.  And even more important is to ensure that this sunburn doesn't later result in premature aging and skin cancer.

Unrefined Shea butter provides some natural protection against sunlight as it contains a small amount of a natural sunscreen (below SPF 6). So if you have no sun lotion available at home immediately, and you need to step out into the sun, you can apply unrefined Shea butter all over your body before you go out.

But more importantly Unrefined Shea butter is a natural healing balm that can help ease the pain, irritation and flaking of sun-burned skin. It is important to note that these healing properties are only present in unrefined Shea butter and not the refined. Just apply a small amount of Pure or Unrefined Shea butter to the affected area.

Nothing soothes and helps heal a burn faster than pure or unrefined Shea butter. It leaves a soothing sensation on the skin that eases the pain and provides thorough and long-lasting protection against dryness.

Aviela unrefined Shea butter is suitable for all ages and skin type and you should keep a pot at home always or in your bag for when you go out in the sun, especially when going out with children.  Not only to treat their sun burn but also insects bites or skin irritation that they might experience with the hot weather.
